Hello everyone!

My name is Adarsh Sojitra. I am a 28 years old entrepreneur from Surat, Gujarat, India. I was born in Jamnagar, Gujarat but at the age of 18-19, We shifted to Surat.

This is my personal blog where I publish new things that I learn, tips, tricks, use cases, and experiments I do on Cloud Hosting and AI.

Professionaly, I am the founder & CEO of ServerAvatar.com — a self-managed cloud hosting platform built for small and medium businesses - It consist of 21 team members, more than 50% work remotely.

I also recently launched ClawVPS.ai, which allows anyone to deploy a fully managed AI agents with few clicks, no sysadmin skills needed. I built it within 3 days with my AI agent, Prime - The first ever deployment of ClawVPS.

My mission with both products is simple: make cloud hosting and AI accessible, easy, and secure for everyone, not just enterprises with big DevOps teams.

On this page, I will share everything about my life, from start! So, Let's start with the full story of my life.

Early Life & First Computer

Till 4th grade, I wanted to be a cricketer. I played official "under 14" with hopes to grow fast in cricket and to be in an Indian cricket team. Every day after school, I took my cricket kit and went to practice.

However, Life had different plans for me. Around the same time (at 4th grade), My dad bought a computer - So that me and my brother can play games and he can manage his business too! It had about 128MB RAM, 11GB storage, and Microsoft XP installed.

I was very happy. It ran GTA Vice City and that was enough for me and my brother - For like 2 months. Soon, I started exploring different games, software, drivers, and how to install them. Very soon after that, I learned how to Install/Re-install Microsoft XP on computers - a cracked version - everyone used cracked versions.

At that time, Re-installing OS would cost about INR1000 to people who don't know how to do that. So, I started charging to re-install OS on people's computers, mainly friends. At 50-70% off than market price.

I acquired some money (enough to have fun at that age), USB Drives, Games, and Software doing all the OS re-install stuff on people's computers.

The first "Hello, World!" C Program

In 5th grade, while tinkering with an iPod I had, I realised something - It was kind of an euphoria moment for me. Here is what I realised:

People Make Software! Software don't develop themselves with hardware.

Within 2-3 days, I was obsessed with software. No more gaming for me. I started looking for someone in my small hometown (Jamnagar) who can teach me How to make software for computers.

Soon, I found a very good person "Bhavyesh Gadhethariya" who just started computer classes and I happen to be the second student.

I went to him and point blank said "I want to learn How to build software" without knowing myself what I was asking for. Considering my age (~11 Years), He told me that it is difficult to learn, not an easy task. In my mind, I was thinking it would be drag-and-drop. I still insisted to learn. He said it's fine. Take a week of lessons for trial.

On the first day, within 30 minutes, I saw "Turbo C++". It looked a bit intimidating.

The first program he taught me was "Hello, World!" obviously. I somehow tried to memorize the code (As you might already know, In C, It is like 7-8 lines). But it was difficult (I was not much good at studies either).

Then the programs became Additions, Subtractions, Multiplications, etc. Within a week, I gave up. I told him I can't do it. But I also asked, What else can I do? He told me, You can make websites with HTML and CSS. I was again interested.

Within next 2 months, I learned HTML and CSS. I was very good at it. So, I started learning Javascript too. I became very good at all those things.

But C was pulling me back. This time, the passion was real. As I realised that people write millions of lines of code to make a software. It is not drag and drop. So, I would have to learn from fundamentals.

This time, I learned it through! And made some really cool projects in C that helped me do homework. For example, In 6th grade, I made a C program to that helped me calculate the volumes and areas of different types of object. Not only that, it also showed me the step by step calculations.

So now, it didn't matter how many numbers my teachers change, My homework would be 100% correct, always! I did it about 10 years before the machine generated homework became cool!

For 2-3 years after that, I learned new things and made software that helped me do my homework. I learned different languages like C++, Visual Basic, and Java.

The First Blog and Real Money from Internet

In 8th grade, I will still learning programming and different languages. I was still making web pages and advanced websites. But I did not take any website live on the internet yet.

Around the same time, I was introduced with "Mayur Sojitra". He is my cousin who I never met before at that time. He is a very good developer. In our first meeting, He told me people make blogs, take them online, apply to adsense, and make money!

I was very much interested. So, I went back to Bhavyesh Gadhethariya and told him I want to take a website live! He explained me domains and stuff. At first, everything bounced over my head. But I learned that blogspot.com allows free blog creation without the domain name.

So, I made a website named "Errorless-C.blogspot.com" - Surprisingly, It is still alive. Once all the pages were built, I went again to Bhavyest Gadhethariya to attach a custom domain with it.

He agreed, bought my first domain in 2013-14, with his card, I paid him in cash! And my website was on my own domain name! The whole cycle of making a website on internet was complete for me. And it was easy next time!

So, I made another blog very soon named "Tricks Warehouse", posted a few articles, sold it for ~$50 in a few months. Then, made one more blog - forgot the name - Worked on it for 5-7 months, Sold it for ~$400.

I was making a bank at that age - felt like it because in 2013-14, It was very rare for someone my age making literal money from internet.

Then, I thought to make one more blog named "Ideas overdose" but this time, I was not going to sell it. Rather, I made my initial audience from social media sharing, made money with Adsense + Hosting affiliate.

The First "Serious" Money from Internet

In 2015-16, At age 17, In 11th grade, I also started writing content for clients as a ghost writer. So, I had two income sources, the blog as well as the content writing gigs. But it was not significant, it was normal.

While working on content and blogs, I also started learning SEO. For SEO, My teacher was Mayur Sojitra, Google and Facebook groups. For 1 year, I experimented and failed.

I continued to learn from whatever source was available for me. Soon I learned that Niche websites, focused on specific topics, with exact match domain and backlink magic, has enough power to make me rich.

So, I started a site called "PanCardStatus.org.in". I posted about 17-20 articles, all "How to" related to PAN cards and PAN numbers. I bought backlinks slowly (some grey sources too), and the site took off! After all government websites, My website was the first result on all the keywords I had targeted.

And the site was making $$$$ a month for me. It was too much money for me at that time, at least more than I can spend. So, I used to send majority of it to my parents back home while keeping ample amount for me and all my crazy fun stuff.

With each rank gain, the traffic was rising by 5-10%. So, I became greedy and bought more links without actually making the site useful. It went on for 1 year. After that, A Google update came and site was hit. Traffic went from 30k pageviews a day to 10 a day.

I tried reviving it by 301 redirects to new domains. That method worked but killed the site completely after 3-5 months and ~3 domain transfers.

I made a few similar sites and all got hit eventually. So, I figured early that this is not a good, long term game! No matter how many sites I have, a single google algo update can hit them all and I can wake up with $0 earnings.

The Inception of ServerAvatar in 2016

Now I was in college, doing BCA (Bachelors in Computer Applications).

While working as a content writer and running a few successful, short lived blogs, I was continuously learning programming and advanced concepts. I also had one stable blog Ideas Overdose still running, I didn't do any grey hat stuff on that one.

Learning PHP and Database Management

The first year in college, I had the syllabus already done from my past experience. I knew I was going to get very good results even if I didn't pay attention in class. So, every day after lectures, I used to go to Computer Labs and spend my whole day there, at least till 3PM.

In 1st year of college, In computer labs, I was learning Bootstrap, PHP, MySQL and Linux. Fundamentally, I knew that I can make dynamic systems using these skills on top of HTML, CSS and JS that I already knew. The projects now can be dynamic as well as beautiful. But I didn't have any purpose or idea with it.

Learning Linux and Server Management

The Ideas Overdose blog was getting some traction. And, I was using shared hosting by Interserver. I wanted to optimise it, I wanted it on a dedicated environment for it.

InterServer was running a deal that time, A single slice VPS for $0.01, first month - $6/month after that. So, I signed up for it.

Within 1 hour, I realised there was no "cPanel" unlike I had with shared hosting. The only way to access the server was through SSH. I was very much new to it. But, I paid $0.01 so I was going to get the most out of it.

Week 1: I learned from the internet How to install Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PHP and other required services on the server. Messed up the server multiple times and did multiple re-installs.

Week 2: I had a complete LAMP stack setup. Ideas Overdose was migrated and was working correctly after 8-10 days of messing around on terminal.

Week 3: The site was live, but it went down frequently with database connection issues. I learned the hard way the use of SWAP memory in Linux. I had SWAP memory setup and my site was not going down anymore!

Week 4: The site was working, but it was not optimised. Page load look many seconds. It didn't matter how much I optimise it, It always became slow when traffic came. Then I learned server level optimisations.

After 4-6 weeks, learning everything the hard way, I was very much tired with terminals. And, My site also got hit on Google due to downtimes and traffic tanked. It was not a good time for me. My last stable blog was gone too.

With these new skills, I started selling WordPress setups on VPS for one-time charges of ~$50 with $5-10/month maintenance. Everything was manual.

Around the same time, While tinkering with PHP in my college computer labs, I found a function called "exec" which allowed SSH command execution from PHP file.

I was happy with this discovery. I quickly started researching on the topic. I ran a few commands like "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade" and "apt install htop" and similar. It was working.

Next, I learned how to execute these commands on "Remote!" servers with PHP. And the experiment worked.

I was very happy! Now I can simply make a list of commands to execute, put them in a PHP file that asks for Server credentials, and simply runs a set of commands on the remote server. The result? Fully configured server to host sites. It simply configured LAMP on the server and optimised the server to host websites effectively.

Combining Everything to Make ServerAvatar's Prototype

Initially, I used different PHP files to do different things on my server as client's servers. But it was very much easier than doing everything manually. One additional benefit was, There was no human error involved if things are happening with scripts.

In 2nd Year of college, I was making ServerAvatar.

Before the first prototype was ready, I also learned Laravel. One of the best Web Development framework present in the market, even in 2026. The first version of ServerAvatar was made on Laravel 4.2 - Yes, I am that much experienced in Laravel.

I worked on ServerAvatar v1.0 for 3 months, Released it on 2nd July 2016 as a free product. It had very limited features:

1. Basic LAMP stack setup.
2. Basic Monitoring (No charts, only load averages)
3. Only had support for WordPress and custom sites
4. Custom SSL Installation
5. Basic Database Management

That's all! It was a bare minimum you need to host your site on a VPS. I didn't need more than that, I didn't know more than that.

Running ServerAvatar Solo From 2016-2019

At first, I had a team of 3 people including me. They helped me make ServerAvatar but it was not as stable as I thought. Hence, I learned Laravel myself and built the project myself, as mentioned in previous section.

After that, I worked alone on the project till 2019. In these 3 years, I made 4 versions. And yes, I did everything alone including Frontend, Backend, Scripting, Support, everything!

Here is how it progressed in 3 years.

1. Version 1: The free prototype with limited features as I mentioned previously.
2. Version 2: Made it a paid product, Updated the UI completely, started generating revenue from 2nd July, 2017.
3. Version 3: Added features like Log viewer, PHP settings, Service Management, Firewall management, and much more.
4. Version 4: Turned Frontend into SPA with Vue.js and made API based backend.

In 2018, Our family also moved from Jamnagar -> Surat. Surat is very big city compared to Jamnagar. So, I had more opportunities here.

From 2018 to 19, I was working on ServerAvatar and client projects from a co-working space in Surat, alone. Finally, My dad convinced me to get an office and start building the team for ServerAvatar.

So, I did! I rented a very small office, about 100sq feet, and started building the team.

Growing ServerAvatar from 2019 with Team

Now, If you are using ServerAvatar to host your projects, You will hear some names that you regularly interact with from ServerAvatar team.

The Initial Team

In 2019, the following team members joined:

1. Smit Pipaliya: The first backend developer.
2. Suresh Ramani: The first frontend developer. Also the first Golang developer.
3. Nishant Rastogi: The first support person in ServerAvatar team.

Soon after that, 2 more team members joined in 2020.

1. Dipali Radadiya (My wife - got married in December 2024): Joined as a Junior Backend Developer. Now leading the backend team in 2026.
2. Krishna Akbari: Joined as a Junior Frontend Developer. Now leading the frontend team in 2026.

This is the core team of ServerAvatar in 2026, everyone is leading the different department of the business.

The Initial Funding

In 2019, I also discovered about "Lifetime Deals" and the "Martech wise" group in Facebook that promoted the good lifetime deals. I also found a friend who introduced me to the group admins and they were very happy with the deal I had in mind.

So, in 2019, we started Lifetime deal for ServerAvatar to get initial funding. I also did extensive research on the sustainability of the project once I decide to on-board significant number of customers. The numbers worked out, and we were live!

We sold about 50 accounts at $180 average. Which provided us the few months of runway considering we can also do some experiments which was not possible previously.

Between 2019 and 2022, We ran multiple lifetime deals with multiple updates. Each time, increasing the prices and adding more features with each new version.

Every time, Our existing lifetime deal users were happy and provided good testimonials when we launched new deal.

Between 2019 and 2022, We made close to 6 figures and it gave our team the time we needed to add enough to ServerAvatar to make it sustainable on MRR.

The Sustained Traction

In 2022, We completely stopped Lifetime deals and moved on to MRR way.

Considering we already had MRR from our existing users from 2016-19 as well as some users with custom deals, we were not in a bad state. Additionally, In 2022, I raised additional ~$50k from an angel investor from Surat, that provided me additional runway in case something goes south. And, It provided me freedom to test a few things on marketing side.

Meanwhile, I already knew SEO. So, we always focused on that and it worked as a silent yet stable channel to continuously send us targetted users.

Between 2022 and 2024, We tried different pricing models, different site designs, different website copies, and did extensive market research. I met many of my mentors to discuss different stages and parts of the business. And implemented the things that works logically as well as in the market.

We also launched supporting products around ServerAvatar, Like:

1. White-label and Reseller Panel: Allows users to resell fully managed VPS to end users.
2. Log Monitoring Suite: Scans the Apache/Nginx/OLS logs and displays vital information related to IPs, Errors, Traffic, and much more.
3. Premium Hosting Care: Designed specifically for clients managing lots of apps on ServerAvatar. It helps user connect directly with our team for help & support via dedicated slack channel. It generated completely new MRR from existing customers.

We broke even in 2024 - At the team size of ~13 people.

The Current Status of ServerAvatar

It is 2026, ServerAvatar has grown to ~20 people.

Out of 20 people team, 7 core team members have more than 6 years of experience in ServerAvatar. We are very close with each other, we help each other, we understand each other. And, we will all see the whole lifecycle of ServerAvatar as a company.

Specifically, All of my core team members understand ME! For which, I am very grateful. Running a business is not a walk in the garden. They help me when I am struggling. In return, I intend to make ALL of my team members extremely resourceful as the time goes!

Right now We have started adopting AI in our workflows from bug finding, fixing, communications, as well as the actual development. It has made my team very fast at shipping products and features!

The features that used to take month now only takes a week! We are very excited to improve on it and ship products and features faster than what our competitors can!

My Interest in AI & Inception of ClawVPS.ai

I have been experimenting with AI since GPT-3 came out in 2021.

It was exactly 1 year before ChatGPT was launched. GPT-3 was one of the earliest signs that AI can do things that lots of people are already doing in the world to make money. Since 2021, I was convinced that AI was going to go mainsteam very soon.

Between 2021 and 2026, I vibe coded many internal tools, used AI in my regular workflows, And I experimented with AI extensively. Every 3 months, I would find some use case that was not possible 3 months ago. However, Updates in AI were incremental, not substantial. Different companies launched different and more powerful models, but still they can only respond and code, nothing else.

I waited till AI can do more than just chat and code. In November 2025, Openclaw happened!

I tried Openclaw for the first time in January 2026. And I was instantly hooked. For the first time, I had my own Jarvis that can do everything! Almost everything. It remembered important things, It managed it's own context, It can execute commands, It can write code, It can do R&D, It can send emails for me!

I was very excited! Finally, AI can do things rather than just chat and code!

But, There was the same issue I had back in 2016. It broke with gateway issues, no response, Gateway not restarting, permissions denied, and other things.

It took me 3 iterations to find out the best Hosting setup for OpenClaw on VPS. I implemented it and it worked flawlessly. It can now do things in minutes - the same things that takes hours for me.

Then I realised, Many people are facing the same setup issue with Openclaw. Honestly, It is not as easy as it seems. But, I have solved it.

So, I decided to create ClawVPS.ai. A service that can provide you the fully working AI agent on VPS in minutes. It also allows you to easily integrate Channels, Models & Providers, Devices and much more. It also has one-click Updates, Automatic backups, Factory reset, Monitoring, and much more!

Conclusion

The Ideas Overdose blog I mentioned above multiple times helped me make my own audience, It worked, but I closed that project. I wish I didn't.

After closing Ideas Overdose, I also stopped posting on many social media. Hence, I lost all my audience. As it turns out, it was one of the best way I had to build a personal brand as well as grow ServerAvatar.

How did I figure it out? I was talking with my AI agent (Prime), And it wrote something to me that I realised is true. It told me that I have ~10 years of dev and sysadmin experience, That is an Asset I am not utilising! Including all the AI experiments I have been running since 2022.

Hence, I started this blog. To share things I know, things that can help many people around the world. On this blog, I will share:
